Who Julia Helps:

I help teens who want to be confident and happy but feel weighed down by anxiety, stress, and depression. Teens come to me because they are dealing with:

  • self-esteem issues
  • identity concerns
  • relationship problems
  • stress
  • school refusal
  • bullying
  • grief
  • self-harm

How Julia Helps:

In counseling sessions I will help your teen build life skills. We’ll figure out who your teen is, who they want to be, and how to get there. By using solution-focused, narrative, collaborative, and strength-based therapies, I’ll help them build confidence, gain insight, and find happiness.

Teens often comment that they feel comfortable talking to me because I am young, genuine, friendly, and non-judgmental. They appreciate that my style of therapy is not psychoeducational or prescriptive and find our therapeutic conversations helpful in resolving problems that they are experiencing.

I know from my 9 years in the mental health field and my own personal experience that when anxiety, stress, and depression take over your life it makes it hard to live each day. Being a teen was tough and that’s why I am so passionate about helping teenagers with their own struggles so they can have a happier adolescence.
