Counselling for Teens

Who I help:

I help teens who want to be confident and happy but feel weighed down but anxiety, stress, and depression. Teens come to be because they are dealing with:

  • self-esteem issues
  • relationship problems
  • school refusal
  • bullying
  • suicidal thoughts
  • addiction
  • grief
  • family conflict
  • cutting/ self-harm
  • identity concerns

How I help:

In counselling sessions we’ll:

  1. Build trust and connect
  2. Discuss and explore the problem(s)
  3. Build on strengths and skills that help stop the problem(s) from affecting your life

Teens often comment that they feel comfortable talking to me because I am young, genuine, friendly, and non-judgmental. They also find that the questions I ask help them to find solutions.

Why I help:

I know from my 9 years in the mental health field and my own personal experience that when anxiety, stress, and depression take over your life it makes it hard to live each day. Being a teen was tough and that’s why I am so passionate about helping teenagers with their own struggles so they can have a happier adolescence.
