I help adults who want to be confident and happy but feel weighed down but anxiety, stress, and depression. Adults come to me because they are dealing with:

- identity concerns
- work issues
- university/college issues
- self-esteem issues
How Julia Helps:
In counseling sessions we’ll figure out who you are, who you want to be, and how to get there. By using solution-focused, narrative, collaborative, and strength-based therapies, I’ll help you build confidence, gain insight, and find happiness.
Adults often comment that they feel comfortable talking to me because I am young, genuine, friendly, and non-judgmental. They appreciate that my style of therapy is not psychoeducational or prescriptive and find our therapeutic conversations helpful in resolving problems that they are experiencing.

I know from my 9 years in the mental health field and my own personal experience that when anxiety, stress, and depression take over your life it makes it hard to live each day. So many times we are weighed down by the “shoulds” of life… I “should” know what I want to do with my life, I “should” be in a relationship, I “should” be happy by now. I think the “shoulds” can cause a lot of stress and depression when we are not living up to how we “should” be. I love helping adults explore this and figure out who they are and what they want from life.
